His siblings: Nicholas, Antonio, Carmella, Joseph & Francesco. He came to US in 1901. I believe his brothers, Nicholas & Antonio may have come with him. They evidently went to Connecticut while he stayed in Port Washington, Long Island, New York. I am hoping to find relatives of Nicholas or Antonio in Connecticut. Raffaele married Maria Raffaela Palmieri - they had 13 children, my dad, Alphonse, is #8. Any help will be appreciated.
Posted on: Fairfield Co. Ct Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ct/Fairfield/3212 Surname: GREGORY, WHEELER, SORENSON ------------------------- We are interested in finding some information on a factory named Wheeler and Nelson Factory in or near Bridgeport. In a letter dated June 6, 1876 from Arthur GREGORY of Bridgeport, Conn, to his nephew, Arthur SORENSON in Wyoming Territory, Arthur Gregory mentions that the factory where he worked had recently burned down. He says that Mr. Wheeler "was despondent". What type of factory was the Wheeler & Nelson Factory? When did the fire actually occur? We are also interested in finding more data on Arthur Gregory (born Sheffield, England) if that should show up...We know that Arthur Gregory comes from a family of tailors and dressmakers as well as family involved in the cutlery business in England. We are curious if Wheeler & Nelson was involved in either textiles or cutlery/metal works. We would appreciate anything you may be able to tell us.

Posted on: Fairfield Co. Ct Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ct/Fairfield/3209 Surname: Raymond, Johnson, Whiting, Taylor, Kellogg ------------------------- Julia Ann Raymond, married in Norwalk on 11/13/1762 to Henry Johnson, Jr, b. 1768. I can't find a definite tie to her alleged parents (in some notes) to Gershom Raymond, b. 11/13/1762,in Norwalk, and Mary Whiting, b 4/17/1768 in Stamford. Gershom's parents were Gershom Raymond, b. 1724, and Abigail Taylor, b ab 1729. Mary's parents were Charles Whiting, b 12/23/1742 in Stamford and Mary Kellogg, b ab 1746 in Stamford. As usual, I can find no information farther back on Mary Kellogg and Abigail Taylor. At least they had a last name! Note: Edwin Hall's book on Norwalk, CT listed the children of Gershom and Mary Raymond, but Julia Ann was not listed. Her birth date occurs after those listed in the book. Was she a late life, unrecorded baby? Is she someone else's daughter? I have pictures with no names and suspect one may be her. Would appreciated establishing contact with other possible relatives who are searching.

Hi Everyone, You may have noticed a very quiet period from the CTFAIRFI list. There was a problem with one of the listservers at RootsWeb, but the problem has been rectified. Some information had to be restored from a backup so there is a chance that there may be some glitches. Please be patient, and do feel free to let me know if you are having any problems.
