Spencer Mead's book has been filmed and is available through the LDS Family History Center System. However, Spencer Mead was not the world's most careful genealogist, so use you salt shaker with it. (for the grain of salt :-) ). The proven Mead line only goes back to about 1515 in Watford, Hertfordshire. This was shown in a relatively recent article in a major genealogical journal. Sorry, just off the top of my head, I cannot remember which one. Kay Allen AG Ronald Mead wrote: > Posted on: Fairfield Co. Dear Friends, Does anyone know where to find the grave records of people buried in the Union Cemetery on Erskine Road in the Long Ridge area of Stamford CT? Walking the cemetery and looking for gravestones is one way, but looking at the list of people buried in a cemetery is substantially better. Over the years, many families just didn't have the money to afford a gravestone. (I think this happened to some of my ancestors, as their death certificate stated they are buried there, but no gravestone can be found.) Does anyone know how to obtain or who has the grave records for this Long Ridge Union Cemetery? George Hoyt E-Mail: GWGEHoyt@aol.com
