Does anyone know of a Henry Hubbard born about 1844. He married an Anna Beach. The family is said to have Indian blood that is native American. Henry Hubbard lived in Danbury from 1880 till ? Somebody went into LDS church on him. I am trying to find any kin left in the area. Tony Keefer
THANK YOU, Harold ! ! Especially for naming the book as source of info on Ephraim. And names of his heretofore unknown 11 siblings. The book title/author is particularly helpful; I will now try to borrow it through Inter-Library-Loan to study, see what other useful items I can find. Thank you again for helping with my paternal gt grandmother's paternal lineage. Anyone searching Porters from CT to Ulster Co. area of NY, please feel free to contact me to exchange research. I haven't researched this line in any detail, but I do have this information from "History of Stratford" by Rev. Samuel Orcutt, page 1272. Apr. 1756. 4. Thomas Sanford, b. May 1758. 5. Daniel, b. 26 Nov. 1758 ?(prob. 1759) 6. Joseph, b. Jul.1761. 7. Hannah, b. June 1763; m. 12 Oct. 1783, David Beers. 8. Deborah, bpt. 23 June 1765. 9. Ruth, bpt. 27 Dec. 1767; m. Nathaniel Beach. 10. Lois, b. 5 July 1769; m. 20 June 1787, Daniel Jackson. 11. John, bpt. 13 Dec. 1772. 12. Sarah, bpt. 14 Apr. 1776.
CORRECTION: William Patrick Brennan and NOT William T. Brennan as we previously believed.
I am also looking for Brennan's in Danbury. I just found out that my husband's grandfather was William Patrick Brennan and not William T. Brennan as was listed on his wife's death certificate. I wonder if our Brennan's may be related or the same family? Our William Patrick Brennan married Mabel Louella Wilcox and they had 4 children - Ernest W., James, Raymond J. and Jeanette. Our William was probably born in the 1880's and we know he was injured in "the war" (not sure if WW1 or WW2). He died in a VA Hospital around Christmas time but not sure of the year.
Does anyone know the maiden name of Margaret, wife of Isaac Hayes, Jr. of Norwalk? Isaac was born 23 March 1706, son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Sherwood) Hayes. Isaac and Margaret had Isaac, 3rd (m. Ann Thatcher), Freegift (m. Mary Sherwood), Samuel, John, Stephen, Peter and Mary. Also am looking for dates of death of Isaac and Margaret.
I have an ancestor, Mary Betts that was born in Norwalk on October 16, 1756. She was the daughter of David Betts and Mary Raymond. If anybody is researching or has information about any of these people, I would appreciate the information. Thanks.
Hi Listers, Maybe someone can help me with Pene DAVIS. First of all, "where the heck did she go--<g>?" Here is what I know about Pene: She married Jehiel SMITH, 24 Nov 1768 in Weston, CT,(source D. L. Jacobus). There are two known children, John b. 1769, in NY and George, 12 years younger, also born in NY. John is almost certainly Pene"s son but what about George? I have NO other information on Pene but I know a lot about Jehiel, although about 16 yrs of his life are missing. I have constructed the following time line: ca 1785-Jehiel SMITH, living in Columbia Co. NY, purchased. from Eleazer DEMING, property in Hancock, Berkshire Co. MA. 1791-living in Fairfield, Chittenden Co. VT---(1791 census=1 male over 16, 3 males under 16 and 1 female) 1792-relinquished property he to his brother Ebenezer in Fairfield, CT 1795-sold his Hancock property to his son John---Jan. 1795 (Krunow Collection) 1795-96-removed to the Province of Quebec, Canada There is some information (not proven yet) that Jehiel's wife at this time was named Elizabeth. There is another Jehiel & Elizabeth SMITH, living in Goshen, Addison Co. VT but I don't find a connection. Sooooo, what happened to Pene? Who were her children? Where and when did she die? Pene is an unusual name, is it short for Penelope? A surname? Perhaps, Elizabeth is her middle name. Well, that's it----lots of questions and I hope someone may have some answers or tell me where to find them. As always, I would be happy to share any information that I may have. Thank you, Margaret in NV
Genealogy Message Searcher: http://images.gencircles.com/message/searcher It does a better job than either of their own search engines. Most especially, it does an AND of your search terms, not like Ancestry's almost useful OR of terms! Try it. I think that you will like it. -- Regards, Rod Dav4is / P.O. Elihu's parents were Thomas Selleck (b. 1781) and Lydia Slawson (b. 12/17/1777). I don't have any data on Thomas Selleck, Lydia Slawson, or Mary Jones's parents.

Trying to loacte any information on James M. ABBOTT, born June 1815, probably Barre. Family story has it that he ran away from Barre and went to New York. He lived in Oneida and Herkimer Counties in New York, working as a log driver in Wilmurt, Herkimer Co., NY. Most of his children were born in Forestport, Oneida Co., and he died there in about 1936 I don't know the names of his parents or siblings - basically I have no info other than James' name and birthdate, and that a brother was born in New Haven CT. If anyone can shed any light on the ABBOTT family in Barre or vicinity, I would be grateful. Please contact me at noname2579@aol.com Thanks, Georgiana Abbott Norris
I am a decendent of Capt. John Hawley M Debrough Pierson I was wondering If those were books listed and if anyone of the decendents possibly fought in the civil war. and if I may have any information that you could use
I am an decendent of Joseph Hawley and Katherine Birdsey Any information I can give just let me know.
Sorry about the error in my name & e-mail address listed on the previous two posts. Kay Miller & the e-mail listed in them is incorrect. I was using another account at the time. This is my correct name & e-mail. I am decended from Charles Robbins og Hightstown, also buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery. I took the pictures of Henry's grave site, which is not too far from Charels'.
Here is a picture of Henry's grave site at Cedar Hill in Hightstown, NJ. One picture is the front side and the other os the back side of the same tomb stone.
I am decended from Charles Robbins (b. 1817) of Hightstown. I am doing extensive research on the Robbins' of that area. I have seen the grave site you speak of, but do not yet have a connection with my Robbins'. From your message I am concluding that Henry was born in Hightstown (since he is buried there, but lived in Conn. later in his life). Do you have any other information on Henry's ancesters?
Does anyone on the Fairfield page have access to the vital records of the city for 1880-1930. Looking for a Henry and Susan Hubbard. They were ;living in Danbury and of course he was a hatter. Any help appreciated Tony Keefer near Pittsburgh, PA

Or, if you are a member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, you can check to see if it's part of their circulationg lending library. Although I have about 2 dozen Fairfield County, CT families, my HULL line is through this George's brother, Rev. Joseph HULL. Joseph's line settled in MA and RI. . .with my line marrying into Quaker SLOCUM famiies. best wishes, Maureen Mead mmeadpond@aol.com
