I thank you for the correct name of the cemetery for Aaron Downes. He is buried in the Jennings plot as his sister Ruth was married to a Jennings. I cannot seem to get his death certificate from Bridgeport as he died in 1842 and they said that I would have to go back to Fairfield to look for it at that early date. Guess I will need to go back to the cemetery to find out who all the people are that are buried in that particular plot as well. Thank you for your help. Fay Blais

He had a daughter Ruhamah Barnum who married a William Mann. They had a son named Orvis Mann, born in Dutchess County, NY.

The entire 1910 Census for Fairfield County, indexed with the image of each page on a CD-ROM. This 4 CD set is on sale through Sept for $59.85 from Heritage Quest (800-760-2455 www.HeritageQuest.com According to the package you can: Navigate. Search the index for the family you want and it immediately pops up on screen. Forward and Backward tools allow you to navigate between pages of the microfilm roll. The software's Smart Scroll feature allows you to navigate the document with ease -- move vertically, horizontally or diagonally.(StandardWindows® scrolling is optional.) Enhance. Make your own individual census page enhancements as needed. Try increasing brightness and contrast to reduce noise and make your document more readable. Or, invert the documents; in this mode, you can view reversed type as a negative image for increased clarity. Magnify. Right click and hold to use the Magnifying Glass andget a bird's eye view. The Magnifying Glass will zoom in on a portion of thepage, leaving the rest of the page visible to navigate at its original screensize. Zoom. Use your cursor to enlarge the document. My ancestry, originates in PA, with Thomas Walmesley, moves into New England states (CT and RI) with Henry Wamsley in CT, then in Rhode Island as early as 1706 with a Thomas Wamsley.
