In the book "Hist of Conesus(NY) by Boyd (1887) they list a James Dart came to this town in 185- and lived at Conesus Center, kept a store. He is now dead, and also his wife who died 15Feb1868. Children were Isora, Frank and Laffayette,Pa. This book is available in a hard cover reprint for 15.00 and very interesting if you are looking for someone who went to Conesus,NY before 1887. E-mail me off list if tyou want one and I'll get the address for you. Frank ran a small saloon in the town of Conesus when I was a small boy(I'm 68) and I can remember waiting there for my dad. It's gone now. Jack

Does anyone on the list have knowledge of the Dart family of Bethel, CT. The family would have been there in the 1800s. One of my ancestors, Elizabeth Danforth was married to Benjamin Dart who died in 1867. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Gratefully, Myra Daniel
This is my line too - after Sarah & Nathaniel, it runs through their son David [b. 15 May 1692, m. Hannah SHERMAN, 24 Jan 1715/16, d. 21 Apr 1735] > | Edmund BEACH [b. 4 Sep 1732, North Stratford, Fairfield, Co., m. Eunice EDWARDS, 4 Apr 1758, d. 1804] > | ------ Elnathan BEACH [b. 28 Dec 1762, m. Anna HUBBARD [?], d. 24 Nov 1836, Hamilton, Madison Co., NY] Hannah SHERMAN, Eunice EDWARDS, and perhaps Anna HUBBARD [?] were from Fairfield Co. Anna is one of my major brick walls. I'd also be especially interested in any information about Elder Phillip Groves. He appears to have been a prominent member of the community in Stratford, but other than his residence there in the mid 1600s, & jury duty in 1648, I have been able to document very little of his life. Julia Bouton children: Daniel Thomas W. David B. Mary Eugene Sarah Louisa born from 1840 to 1855. thanks. Gary << According to Donald L. Jacobus, HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE FAMILIES OF OLD FAIRFIELD, >> Scott I noticed that you are quoting the above named book. I was wondering if you could possibly see if there is mention of STORER, JAMES & BRADLEY, ELECTA and the birth of their son WILLIAM STORER b 11 May 1765 in Stratford in Fairfield County..... I have the family of JAMES STORER as being located in Charlestown, Massachusetts when JAMES was bp, Then I find the birth of WILLIAM in Fairfield as stated in the Barbour Collection, yet, JAMES & ELECTA were married in New Haven in 1764. I was hoping for some clarity. I would appreciate any assistance you might provide.
