It is believed that his father was Isaac Hill b. abt 1840, d. abt. 1830. They resided at Fairfield. The other children were Luke, VanAger, Isaac, Seth Stone b.12/1/1776, Shelton, Fairfield Ct. and Benajah b. 9/13/1774 Shelton Fairfield Ct. I have two different lines that seem promising but I can't prove a connection. One is: Isaac Hill b. abt 1686 Guilford Ct. m. 7/5/1711 Ann Parmelee b. Guilford (New Haven)Ct.. THey have (many children, can be found on Mormon websites IGI) - two of which were Daniel and Isaac( b. 1707-1717). Isaac m. (1729) Hester Stone (b. 1711) (Guilford Ct.) (Her fathers name was Benajah Stone (both found in my Isaacs childrens names) Second line is: John Hill m.Esther Bulkeley (Fairfiedl Ct) They have at least Sarah b. 1742 and Isaac b. 7/25/1745 Can anyone connect either of these two families to my Ephraim? Strong who was born in CT. and so were his father and mother., but I don't know where, possibly around 1825 or 1828. David shows up in the 1880 Illinois Cook Co. census and he is 55 yr. old. In 1870 Illinois Cook Co. he says he is 42 yr. old. Does anybody have a David O. Strong that wandered off west about that time that cannot be accounted for?
