In the 1916 Bridgeport City Directory there was a Pawloski John who might have been her father. Any help in verifying my grandmother lived in Bridgeport during 1905-1908 would be appreciated.

Listers, It is so unhelpful to share information privately through email instead of posting, especially after an inquiry has been posted to a message board. Could we please share on the board or through the list? Joined Darien Church 28 May 1758. Children of Asa: Ephraim baptised 22 March 1758 * Josiah baptised 6 July 1760 Hannah baptised 28 Oct 1762 Asa baptised 24 Nov 1765 Rachel baptised 31 May 1767 Samuel baptised 31 Jul 1768 I believe the above children may have married, as follows: Ephraim Jones m1 Lydia Bishop and m2 Anne Bishop in CT. Rachel may have been the Rachel Jones who married Peter St. John in 1793 in Norwalk, CT. Asa Jones, son of Asa, above MAY have been the Asa Jones who married Lucy Case in 1787. Particulary interested in determining if the above *Josiah Jones is my gggg grandfather (husband of Betsey Howes, daughter of Prince Howes of Mayflower ancestry). Josiah Jones born circa 1759/60 near Stamford, married Betsey Howes in Canaan Parish (now New Canaan) in 1785 and moved to Salem, Westchester County, NY and Franklin, which is now Patterson, Dutchess (now Putnam) county, NY (where he died). I have reason to believe my Josiah Jones' father was named Asa, so I highly suspect this is the correct family above. Any idea where to find more records in these areas of Connecticut (and which types of records) that can help me find out more about this family? Any of these names ring some bells? Many thanks.

My gggrandfather was Uriah Harris Reynolds, 1853-1930, born in NY (possibly Bedford), died in Stamford CT. His parents were William F & Louisa Harris Reynolds. William was born in NY, 1829, and died in Bedford 1859. My grandmother's cousin, Ethelyn Close, told her years ago that they were related as Ethelyn's mother was a Reynolds. Have been trying to find Wm F's parents/siblings for years...I do know he has a brother, Isaac W, who also lived in Bedford NY at the "Old Reynolds Farm" on the west shore of Byram Lake. I have Isaac's birth year as 1829 also. Isaac had issue: Isaac, Rufus, Mary, Francis (Fanny) and Harris. Thank you!!!!!! Carol

I am also looking for ANY information on that family (my husbands grandfather was Paul Gefrovich from Czechoslovakia, and his sons changed their name to Gefrich). Also, any information on how to get information from a Elks club they were members of, where they might be buried and such. I really have very little regarding his life. He was born in 1868 and moved to the U.S in 1891 moving from PA to Ct, to NY and back to Ct. I appreciate all help and advice.
Hi, I'm new to the list. I am currently researching my husband's BAILEY line.I think I have hit a brick wall.I've been through the Hale and the Barbour Collection. Also have searched Records of births, marriages, and deaths, 1711-1841 FHL US/CAN Film 1435525. I am trying to prove the parentage of Samuel BAILEY(1728-1808). According to a privately published genealogy that has been in my husband's family since 1898 Samuel was the son of a Benoni. I have not been able as yet to locate a death or a birth record of Samuel. I have located his marriage in Danbury CT. on Feb. 20 1756 to Lydia BEEBE daughter of Lemul and Hannah DIBBLE. I did locate a Benona in the 1790 Census. According to our genealogy Benoni was born abt 1697 died May 1793. I haven't found anything on him either. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Lucie Vaccaro-Bailey hondolu@texas.net
