This is ONE book I am not underlining and am treating it like the treasure it is;so might take a bit longer to pull the information out. Interesting term to me is that the authour Laura Chase Smith often in the book refers to the Episcopal Church as the American Church. I dimly recall something about the post-Revolution American Episcopalians "stealing" the apostolic succession by having their first bishop consecrated by a Scottish Episcopalian bishop because the Anglicans in England wouldn't cooperate. I may have that wrong; we Presbyterians have no bishops.
