Samuel who married Abigail Collier is the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Baisie), and the grandson of Paul and Martha. Deacon Paul and Martha had 3 sons Paul, John, and Joseph. John died young and Joseph died in 1698. The book shows only 2 children born to Joseph in Hartford. I suspect he probably had bore born somewhere else. There is also no information in the book as to the identity parents of the grandson named Samuel who was living with Deacon Paul and his wife Martha. At least one of Deacon Paul's daughters also had a son named Samuel. The children of Deacon Paul and Martha, born in Hartford are: Paul, b. abt. 1666; d. Hartford, 1775; married Elizabeth Baisie John, b. 28 Dec. 1645; d. young Martha, b. abt. 1648; d. Middletown, 1707/08; mar. John Cornwell, children born at Middletown. Joseph, bapt. 22 Dec 1650; d. at Hartford, 1698; mar. Ruth Mary, b. "[say 1652]"; mar. John Andrews; children born in Farmington Hannah, b. abt. 1655; d. between 1689 and 1695; mar. Sarah, b. abt. 1659; d. at Wallingford; mar. mar. Ebenezer Clark, he remarried after her death. children b. at Wallingford. Ruth, b. abt. 1661; d. at Wallingford, 1686; mar. Thomas Beach' he remarried after her death. Children b. at Wallingford. A daughter, b. "[say 1664]"; d. before 1695; mar. Joseph Benton; he remarried after her death. Child born at Farmington.
