    3. Hi everyone: Just returned from Virginia and while I was looking around a museum book store, I found a map .....1780 of New England..........all BEFORE the first US census. It shows: 1.Providence of New Hampshire....which includes many of today's VT towns 2.Colony of Conecticut[sic]: 3.Eastern Part of Massachusetts: [ now Maine] 4.Vermont: sparsely settled [all towns on the Conn River...none inland] 5.Providence Plantation.: [now Rhode Is] some border towns in Mass now in RI I think it's worth copying this map if there is enough interest.......I dont know how much it will cost. Anyone with ancestors prior to 1800 should have this map [no it's not a sales gimmick but a fact] The map is 23"Lx20"w.........in pastel colors.......I will take it to a local store to find out the actual cost and postage and get back to the lists. Lets see how many are interested.......contact me at LookupsNE@hotmail.com [ not on the mailing lists ! ]------------ Cynthia Moderator of : Ct-River-Valley-L@rootsweb.com CTHartfo-L@rootsweb.com MANorfol-L@rootsweb.com Ma-Bay-Colony-L@rootsweb.com Rootsweb sponsor
