    3. Arline: There is just one Waterford........according to the book "Collecting Vermont Ancestors"........I gave you the address of the town clerk's office. Waterford is located just above the town of Barnet right on the border of the Connecticut River.and almost into Essex County. As for counties: 1772-4: Gloucester County 1777-8: Newportshire 1781-2: Orange 1785-6: Orange 1791: Orange 1796: Caledonia 1801..... Caledonia.......still is. hope this helps. ------------ Cynthia Moderator of : Ct-River-Valley-L@rootsweb.com CTHartfo-L@rootsweb.com MANorfol-L@rootsweb.com Ma-Bay-Colony-L@rootsweb.com Rootsweb sponsor ----- Original Message ----- From: "Arline Larson" <arline7@bellsouth.net> To: <CT-RIVER-VALLEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, October 15, 2000 4:41 PM Subject: [CRV] Waterford, Vermont > Cynthia: > > I have had three answers about the location of Waterford, Vermont. > Each one places Waterford in a different county. > Was there more than one Waterford, or did the county lines move? > > Arline > > > ==== CT-RIVER-VALLEY Mailing List ==== > http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl > Conn.River Valley Genealogical research library: http://www.quadrangle.org > > http://www.nehgs.org [New Eng.His Gen Society] > Listowner: NewEnglander1621@msn.com > > ============================== > Create a FREE family website at MyFamily.com! > http://www.myfamily.com/banner.asp?ID=RWLIST2 >
