Other than our recent discussion of the PECK ancestry, this has been a very quiet autumn and forum. Am wondering what has happened to our formerly active list (myself included)? Have we all gone to Florida, Arizona, the Man in the sky, etc.? Clyde Vanderbrouk (Peter is our son)
As for me and my household, Clyde, I am really doing catch-up after my two week trip to Vermont and actually LABELING my TEN rolls of film! Typed the ID and now pasting on FRONT for all to see! Eventually many of them will be on-line in various places. So stay tuned! Others may be one of those leaf peepers;me just missed the foliage by about a week. Out here in WASH, its in the 70's! and the Marineers did something wonderful yesterday ^ . ^ Warren: did you have a Rev. Robert Wetmore, an EPISCOPALIAN Priest, IN NY, ca. 1798? I have gotten my greedy hands on a book, "Life of Philander Chase", Laura Chase Smith, 1903. The eventual Bishop Philander Chase of Ohio and the Illinois replaced Rev. Wetmore. In this treasure of a book there is considerable information of general interest to CT River Valley. EVENTUALLY I will post some of it. Harriet Chase

EVENTUALLY I will post some of it. The Rev. Robert Griffith WETMORE is my GGGG-uncle, last child of Timothy WETMORE s/o the Rev. James. He married Jane GIDNEY of Rye, NY and they died in 1803 and 1802, respectively, leaving two pre-school-age children who eventually were sent to Canada to live with uncles and aunts. The boy, Abraham Keirsted Smedes WETMORE, apprenticed in law to my GGG-GF Thomas WETMORE amd became a barrister amd progenitor of a line of Canadian lawyers and jurists, including one provincial chief justice. Anything else on Robert?
