Hi Cynthia, At last we have found a match of Ancestors. Edward WINSHIP was the father of Joseph WINSHIP. Joseph Winship was the father of Abigail WINSHIP. Abigail WINSHIP married John MANNING and they had Abigail MANNING. She married Jonathan KING and they had Abigail KING. Abigail KING married Charles SIMPSON and they had Lyman SIMPSON who was my gr. gr. gr. grandfather. It is his ancestors that I am researching at the moment. I am mostly concentrating on the Simpson and King lines but do have some information on my Manning/Winship line as well. An unrelated item that I thought might interest you. A few months a go their was a discussion on the list about my Hessian Soldier ancestor. Someone on the list disagreed with the idea that the Hessian Soldiers were not liked. I literally stumbled on the following in WEBSTER'S SEVENTH NEW COLLEGIATE DICTION when I was looking for something else. Thought it would interest you. "Hessian Fly: a small two winged fly that was destructive to wheat." I don't know if that has a direct implication to the Hessian Soldiers or if it was a fly from that area of Germany but found it interesting anyway. Thanks for all you do. Marla
