Budd Rice Seattle, WA >> Hi. I'm usually a lurker on the list, but have a brickwall which is driving me nuts. My line is CHAPIN and my 4g/grandfather was Roswell CHAPIN b, Vt. 20 Dec, 1790 in Wardsboro, Windham, VT. There are 2 possible ROSWELLs, this one born to Daniel CHAPIN and Lucy MARTIN, and another born, 1783 VT to John CHAPIN and Mary SIMONS. Using naming patterns as clues, the one born in 1790 seems the likely one. I'm in Butler County, OH and that is where my 4g/grandfather lived the majority of his life. He died in Wayne County, IN just six months short of being 100 years old. My problem in determining which Roswell is mine is finding death info with a date of death to pinpoint his birth. Unless, there is something in your book which references a Roswell CHAPIN venturing to Ohio. That would be a tremendous help. Thanks so much for any info, Linda Chapin Blossom Keller Searching CHAPIN, BLOSSOM, MORTON, MARSH, McCLAIN, PERRY
