    3. I searched the referenced website: > http://genweb.net/~captivity/> and found an interesting tale. One of the stories is titled "Rogers Rangers Revenge". The American author, Kenneth Roberts, based one of his novels on this incident. His novel follows closely the story told in the website. Robert's books are to be recommended for showing the early history of the CT Valley and pre-revolutionary and revolutionary New England. Another of Roberts' books is about the invasion of Canada by Arnold shortly after the start of the Revolutionary War. Arnold was indeed an American hero in spite of his later treason at West Point.
