John Leonard in the colonial wars in the campaign against Canada, April 11, 1757. James later became a Deacon and moved to Guilford, VT., after the Revolution. Evidently, Caleb Briggs, born June 13, 1758, had not returned from captivity when his father's will was executed in 1793.
