Arleen: Yes your Eliphalet was born 23 Feb 1743 married Elfleda Lyon of Woodstock,Conn....there are 5 pages of JANE genealogy.....I could send you copy if you want to pay for postage and copying. The JANE traces back to William Janes born in Essex Co.,England about 1610.....he arrived in New Haven,Conn 1637. and removed to Northampton,Mass.in 1656....and later removed to Squakeag which happens to be my home town of Northfield,Mass., in 1673. When the Indians destroyed Squakeag in 1675, he returned to Northampton until he died in 1690. It was his grandson,William [Abel,William], who moved to Brimfield from Lebanon,Conn, roughly around 1730. I remember when I was in my early teens, we were at the drive-in movies [remember them!] and we could see a glow in the distance and in the morning we found out it was the JANES house that burned. If someone has the History of Northfield, I do recall seeing a picture of the house.
