The ancestry of John LAWRENCE remains a mystery. John LAWRENCE may have been a son of Nathaniel and Bathsheba (Butterfield) LAWRENCE who were m. (int.) 9/18/1747 at Westford, Middlesex Co., MA. Nathaniel LAWRENCE was b. ca. 1724 at Woburn, MA s/o John and Elizabeth (Stone) LAWRENCE. Nathaniel and Bathsheba had (at least) five children: Olive, b. 3/24/1749 at Woburn, JOHN, b. 3/4/1752 at Dunstable, Middlesex Co. MA, William, b. 11/15/1754 at Dunstable, Abraham, b. 7/14/1757 at Dunstable, and Rebeckah, b. 8/1/1766 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH. Abt. 1755, Nathaniel LAWRENCE rem. to NH.
