Vermont had land grants existing in CT, NH, NY and MA..this is one of the reasons its so difficult to trace people. The book on the history of Guilford explains quite a bit about the problems with the VT sufferers, who they were ( I have a list of people and amts of property granted them in NY when the entire issue finally shook out). You also may want to check with Westminster VT as it and Guilford were the hotbeds of the land issues. Cynthia Dickinson
