The Genealogical Society of Vermont is pleased to announce that their spring meeting will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Hampton Inn, Colchester, VT. Take exit 16 off I-89, go north on Route 7 to first traffic light, turn right on Mountain View Drive. The Hampton Inn will be on your right. The meeting starts with registration and refreshments between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m., followed by a short business meeting and update of Society activities. The first speaker of the day will be Sylvia Bugbee from Special Collections at the University of Vermont library, speaking on Finding Your Ancestors in the Oddest Places: A Case Study. The next speaker will be Paul Carnahan from the Vermont Historical Society, giving us a Preview of the New VHS Library. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. The meeting will reconvene at 1:15 p.m. with Rich Rollock of Laconia, NH, speaking on The Family Histories Directory Project. The meeting will adjourn at 3:00 p.m. There will be a book sale table and plenty of time to get acquainted and reacquainted with other people with similar interests. The cost for the luncheon and the program is $16.00 for members and $19.00 for non-members. Reservations need to be mailed to GSV, P.O.
