Orson d. 1863 and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT. Melissa was d/o Lot and Chloe (MOSES) HUMPHREY. I do not know the parents of Orson WELLS. There is a Levi WELLS b. 1765 (m. Hannah WELLS) or possibly his brother Elisha WELLS b. 1758 (m. Clara DEMING) both of West Hartford, CT and sons of Elisha WELLS & Lydia DEMING that I suspect may be linked to my Orson WELLS. I do not have any proof though. Do you have anything on these WELLS families? Regarding ROSS -- there is a John ROSS b. abt 1737 who m. Patience DENSLOW b. 1740 in Windsor, CT. They had a son James ROSS b. 1767 who m. Agnes COOK daughter of Ens. Joel COOK & Sarah PINNEY. John ROSS & Patience also had a daughter Roxann ROSS b. 1764 in Windsor, CT. that I suspect may have married Joel COOK, Jr. who was b. 1763 in Bloomfield, CT (s/o Ens. Joel Cook & Sarah). I have some more information on the COOK line, but nothing more to link Roxanna ROSS & Joel COOK, Jr. This all comes together when Orson & Melissa (HUMPHREY) WELLS daughter Emma WELLS b. 1831 m. Watson COOK b. 1825 and s/o of Orrin & Wealthy (WILSON) COOK. Orrin COOK being the s/o Joel COOK, Jr & perhaps Roxanna ROSS!! Well, I hope you can follow that.
