He was b. in Suffield, Hartford, CT, educated at Yale and pastor of the Congregational church in Granville until 1776, when the family (except for oldest son Jedediah Jr, who eventually settled in Blandford, MA) immigrated to Natchez, MS. I have his family traced from the Rev. Henry SMITH who came to Connecticut from England about 1637 to multiple lines today. But I have nothing on COOK[E]. Any help would be appreciated. E. W. Prichard
