Does anyone have any information on an Asahel ROGERS who married a Sarah SCOVILLE in Millington Parish, East Haddam, CT? He may have been born circa 1738; m. March 1769. Does anyone have the parents & siblings of Asahel? Did Asahel & Sarah remove to Nova Scotia as the Scoville book states? My ancestor, Timothy Scoville (who was living in Cornwall, CT) went back to Millington Parish in 1801 to marry a Sarah ROGERS. Since most marriages in the 17th and 18th century took place in the hometown of the bride I am assuming that is why Timothy went to Millington Parish to marry (he was born there also).
