Hi, I was born in Springfield, MA and my ancestors include Beldens, Goodwins, Gilberts, Chapins, Partridges. My two main problems are James Nichols of Hinsdale married Ann Field in Northfield, July 13, 1774 and removed to Athens, VT. Who was James and where did he die? I can't prove that he was the James of Holden born 1752, son of Joshua. The Fields genealogy says that Ann died Feb 28, 1829. Where was that? Elizabeth Belding married Henry Gilbert, Jan 31, 1682/83, son of Catherine Chapin and Thomas Gilbert. Was Elizabeth the dau of Samuel Belding?
