I am looking for information on Roxanna ROSS b. 6 Mar 1764 in Windsor, CT d/o of John ROSS (b. abt 1737) & Patience DENSLOW. Patience was b. 1740 in Windsor, CT d/o Samuel and Sarah (CHAPMAN) DENSLOW. I am trying to prove whether or not this Roxanna may have been married to Joel COOK, Jr. (b. 1763; d. 1801 in Wintonbury, CT) s/o of Ens. Joel COOK & Sarah PINNEY. After the death of Joel COOK, Jr. widow Roxy is mentioned in the probate of his estate. Widow Roxy COOK later married Samuel WILSON (1754 -1832) who was s/o of Joel WILSON & Abigail LOOMIS. Roxy __ (COOK) WILSON died in 1827 at age 63 in Bloomfield, CT. The WILSON Genealogy suggests that Roxy was Rosana CLARK b. 1753; d. 1793 and d/o David & Rachel CLARK! But that Roxana married Reuben PHELP, so that does not add up! This has been quite a mystery to determine who the parents are of Roxy __ COOK (WILSON)! Roger
