This house, where Harriet and Laura (daughters of Zerah Alvord, Sr.) were presumably the last residents, stood over the hill east of Gagnon's. The town voted in 1859 "to discontinue the road from the house of L.G. & Alan Alvord to the south line of the Dr. Long farm." (That year L.G & A. Alvord lived in the Gagnon house.) They guarded the power magazine in Brookfield, Ma. He served again from July 1, 1780 to December 10, 1780 at West Point. The descriptive list states he was five feet eight with a light complexion. For his service, he received a pension of $40 per year. He also received a bounty land warrant posthumously. iv. Lucinda NIMS was born on 14 Nov 1763 in Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts.
