First Generation Ama Smith, daughter of Deacon David and Hannah Willard Smith Born about 1760, probably in Hadley, MA. Died perhaps 1809. Married Daniel Wallis, 1795 in Hadley. Elizabeth Porter Phelps notes in her diary that Wallis' wife died April 30, 1809. Diary in Amherst College Library. In 1803 Amey bought land in Hadley as a married woman. Second Generation Daniel Smith, son of Ama (Amey)* Smith born February 16, 1779 in Hadley, MA *May 23, 1779, Elizabeth Porter Phelps notes in her diary that "this Day one Amy Smith made her confession--She Laying in just after me thro her being with Child--she Denied it to the Last. Oh that the Almighty Power might make her a real convert." Daniel Smith (son of Amey Smith) m. Lodema Morse (daughter of Lt. James and Hannah Morse, born in Stafford, CT December 7, 1778. Lodema's name was incorrectly transcribed as Didama in the Ct State records.) about 1800? Daniel died Sept 18, 1845 and Lodema died Sept 27, 1855. Henry Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born March 4, 1807. NSDAR records. Died in Plainfield , 1885. Married first to Minerva, 1807 - 1836 and second to Electa, 1812 - 1895. Henry and both wives buried in Huntley Corners Cemetery, Plainfield, NY. Willard Morse Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born May 5, 1809, NSDAR records. Died in Sheds, Madison County, NY. September 18, 1893. Married Lucinda Herrington, born 1807 in Canterbury, CT, daughter of Heber Herrington and Hannah Whitford., Hannah died February 18, 1887. Both buried in Sheds Cemetery, Madison County, NY. (My ancestor) Sylvester Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born Oct. 17, 1811, died November 23, 1837 NSDAR records. Alonzo Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born July 7, 1815. Married daughter of Rev. David Cutler of Burlington, NY. Alonzo died Jan 7, 1903. May be buried in Ilion Cemetery, Ilion, NY Alonzo was a tailor. Daniel Smith Jr., son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith born November 23, 1817, died September 18, 1845. Charles W. Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born March 28, 1820 and died Aprl 26, 1888. Charles married Mahala Washburn, born Jan 9, 1823. James Smith, son of Daniel Smith and Lodema Morse Smith, born December 22, 1822. May be buried in Ilion Cemetery. Fourth Generation: William Henry Smith, born 1834 Sheds, Madison County, Sheds, NY. Died June 4, 1902. Buried in Sheds Cemetery. Fifth Generation: Warren J. Smith, Mt. Albion Cemetery, Albion, NY Sixth Generation: Arthur L. Smith, buried Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Fairport, NY Seventh Generation: Warren A. Smith, buried Eaton Cemetery, Eaton, Madison County, NY Eighth Generation: Deborah A.
