I have completed computerized the genealogies for pages 1 - 119 and 138 - 166. Pages 120 - 137 cover the surname SMITH. This information has been merged into may Franklin County database (not available on line). While my interest remains Franklin County - I've merged these genealogies in order to link the many of he early settlers (before 1850). If you have family members with the surname Smith and are willing to share your research, it may be helpful to others on the list if your willing to post an ancestral or descendant report for 1 - 3 generations. This is my direct line--sorry, no siblings. Hope this helps. Clyde 1. Lt. Samuel, b. abt. 1602, m. Elizabeth ___________, d. bef. 1/17/1681 at Hadley, MA. Samuel sailed with Elizabeth and four children from Ipswich, Co. Suffolk, England to Watertown, MA in 1634 on the “Elizabeth”. Made freeman at Watertown, Sept., 1634. A fellmonger (dealer in hides, probably a tanner), he removed to Wethersfield, CT by 1635, where he was representative to the General Court at Hartford, 1637-56, and served in the Pequot War (1637). Samuel was builder and part owner of the first ship built in Connecticut Colony, the “Tryal”. The family removed to Hadley, MA, 1659-60 where he held a variety of important offices in both church and state. 2. Lt. Philip, b. abt. 1633 in England, m. Rebecca Foote 1658-9 at Wethersfield, CT, d. 1/10/1685 at Hadley, MA (“murdered with a hideous witchcraft”, according to Cotton Mather). Philip was a prominent man in Hadley, representative, deacon and lieutenant. 3. John, b. 12/18/1661 at Hadley, MA, m. Joanna, dau. of Joseph Kellogg, 11/29/1683 at Hadley, MA, d. 4/16/1727 at Hadley, MA. John was a deacon of the church at Hadley. 4. Prudence, b. 3/15/1701 at Hadley, MA, m.
