In 1775, there was a raod from Coleman's house through Mr. Poole's land to Dole's which gives us an idea where Jacob Poole lived. A town record of 1773 mentions Lieut. Poole's sawmill. Another record informs us of a road from Mr. Pool's to Samuel Fellows who lived on the hill in a house preceding the James Barnard Home. Lieut. Jacob Poole who died in ye army with ye small pox, nice man and well beloved, "so wrote one of his contemporaries." He was married to Mary (Molly) KELLOGG.
