Old Deerfield is a "town that time passed " by thanks to Henry and Helen Flynt....this part of town was attacked in 1704....the Flynt's were able to save some of the remaining old buildings from demolition and the whole area was preserved to keep the colonial feeling . -- 2. South Deerfield is ACTUALLY Deerfield ! The ambush that took place in 1675 is now South Deerfield and the area that fell under attack during King Philip's War was called "Bloody Brook". -- 3.
