Chapters 6, THE BENCH AND BAR OF MIDDLESEX COUNTY; Chapter 7, FERRIES, STEAMBOATS, HIGHWAYS, RAILROADS & the first part of Chapter 8, MIDDLESEX COUNTY IN THE CIVIL WAR, which includes lists of the men who served from the towns of Chatham, Chester & Clinton.
