Cynthia Now that the subject of politics has flared up on the list, well, it reminds me of a question I had earlier, but didn't get around to asking. In your post awhile back about Brimfield soldiers in Shays' Rebellion, you cited "History of Brimfield, Mass," page 348. At the bottom of the left-hand column you list my cousin Thomas COOLEY. But, you DON'T specify for sure which side of the conflict Thomas Cooley served on! Was he one of the bad guys (for the State of Massachusetts), or was he one of the good guys (the Shays' rebels, along with my other ancestors)? Implied in your post is that he was on the State's side; i.e., one of those bad people, but this is not explicit. Please mention which side. Thank you.
