Rose was in Mr.Ford's vessel to Jamica when the baby was born and married Abigail on his return. Susannah Smith, age 15, called them "aunt and uncle" 1682/3; In York but of Boston, 1675. Sold Boston property in 1678 and moved to Piscataqua. Had house at Oyster River,1681. will dated 30 July to Sept. 1705. Wife Abigail at farm at Lamprill River, land in Portsmouth and kinswoman Elizabeth Aysley of London. Only known child, dau, born 6 July 1660, died within a week. Abigail prob . finished Sept.1703 of her master, Samuel Berry who sued Roger Rose in next court. Yet Merry was bound to the peace for beating Abigail Rose, wife of R. in 1703. 2.
