    3. Hi Bonnie I tried that site it doesn't help me. I have his 1812 enlistment papers and pension papers. Right now I am trying to find out where he was born and who his parents were. He seems to have appeared in 1812, his birth would have been in 1797, then there is no record of him until after the war when he gets married in VA. My problem is that everything says he was born in VT. census, marriage application etc. but his enlistment papers say CT. So I am not even sure about the state. 1. [CRV] Hampden County Update
    2. Laurel O'Donnell
    3. Hi everyone, Some interesting updates to the Hampden County site today are: C. Robert Wilhelm Photo Collection In 1975 Kevin Haarmann found a collection of his great grandfather's photo negatives stored away in the family home -- what a legacy! Using glass plate negatives (popular from about 1880-1920s) C. Robert Wilhelm of Holyoke photographed some fascinating scenes of Holyoke over the years, from scenic views of the area to those of people involved in work and recreational activities. We thank Kevin for his willingness to share his great-grandfather's work with us and hope to add to this archive as time progresses. Not all images are identified in detail, perhaps you can help out. The Oriole The annual publication of the Junior Class of the Technical High School, Springfield, Massachusetts. Nice class annual with individual photos, nicknames, street addresses and high school activities. Date of birth for these students about 1899. About 100 students plus sports photos and some clubs you will never see in schools today such as the Rifle Club. Crossroads The 1956 school annual of John J. Lynch Jr. High School, Holyoke. Slightly more contemporary, but an interesting look at the "Junior High School" era. Around six hundred students named in grades 7-9, individual photos of the 9th grade graduates and faculty. The cemetery listings have been updated again. Thanks to all the contributers who have helped make these listing informative, accurate and complete as possible. Special thank yous to Kathy Camp, Roberta Cyr, Lois Fisher, Sue Moore, and "RAOULRW" for some very interesting additions and updates. If you have written to me with information and do not see it online -- PLEASE -- write again as I had a laptop crash on me recently with no chance of recovering any data. While I have numerous backups of my various sites, I do not manage as well with my e-mail, and have lost a considerable amount. So if you have not heard from me or do not see updates to the cemetery page you mailed to me, please let me know -- and do not take it personally. As always, these links are available from the Hampden County home page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mahampde/ Have a pleasant and safe Labor Day weekend! Laurel
