    1. [CRV] Alexander Osborn
    2. Peggy J Knox
    3. Alexander Osborn was with the original group that came from Hopkinton, MA. Other than that, I don't have info, nor do I have the time to do the research. All the info I have is Blandford Vital Stats, and most of the pages with the early records are too light to read. I do know that Alexander had property in the second division near William Knox, and when Alexander's daughter Bette married Capt. William Knox's son Samuel, that made Alexander Osborn another one of my grandfathers! Shalom Peggy J. Knox

Most of these families appear to have resided in and around Montague, Deerfield, Hadley, Northfield and Northampton. Are any of the readers on the list aware of any old published genealogies which includes information on the surname of DWIGHT. Regards, Paul W. Allred

    1. [CRV] ASAHEL ROGERS of East Haddam, CT
    2. Does anyone have any information on an Asahel ROGERS who married a Sarah SCOVILLE in Millington Parish, East Haddam, CT? He may have been born circa 1738; m. March 1769. Does anyone have the parents & siblings of Asahel? Did Asahel & Sarah remove to Nova Scotia as the Scoville book states? My ancestor, Timothy Scoville (who was living in Cornwall, CT) went back to Millington Parish in 1801 to marry a Sarah ROGERS. Since most marriages in the 17th and 18th century took place in the hometown of the bride I am assuming that is why Timothy went to Millington Parish to marry (he was born there also). Any help greatly appreciated! Jan

    3. If you look - the Genies are repeated - b/cuz Paul and Mary have so kindly agreed to submit all this hard work to the CRV list also.. as many of our ancestors began their migrations to western Mass from CT.. as yours did.. from the Cape to CT. another reason it may look like duplication is because: many times this research is split into 2-3 emails SURNAME intact, but labeled individual parts when split into like this for transmission.. This is a fantastic service they are providing - many of us would NOT have made very valuable links w/o the submission of these two - Paul & Mary Allred.. I know you just joined, MAFRANKL - L [after I finally got it to you correctly] so your best bet is to create a mail folder CRV-Genies and eliminate the Franklin Cnty when repeated .. I am sending to both lists as a quick reminder to all who do Q the duplication when they are on both lists. Mimi Taylor

    3. Hi, everyone... Looking for a given name (and dates, etc.) for a woman whose surname was GALUSHA. I have no dates for her unfortunately. She may have been born in the Lanesborough area.. ?? GALUSHA married Isaac SMITH, who was born in Lanesborough, Berkshire Co., MA, in 1768. [He was the son of Col. Jonathan and Esther (?) (BACON ?) SMITH.] Isaac and his unnamed wife moved north to Vergennes, VT, where they had their second child, Eliza, born in 1798. She later married Samuel Paddock STRONG. (Any help on the children of this couple would be appreciated, too!) The first child of Isaac and ?? (Galusha) SMITH was Mary Ann (no dates for her nor a birth location) who married Carleton STEVENS in Vergennes, VT in 1846 (Any help with this couple would be most appreciated!) Then the couple's third child, Jacob SMITH, was born in Sunderland, Bennington Co., VT, in 1804. He later moved back to Vergennes, and died there. (He had been married to Mary Barnes HUDSON, who was born in Putney, VT.) Thanks, all... Susan
