Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xdQ.2ACIB/63.2.1 Message Board Post: Susanne, I saw your February message and thought that I had written to you personally, but evidently I didn't. Your CRUMRINE line is as follows: HANS MICHAEL KRUMREIN (your immigrant ancestor in this family was b. 1713 in Jungholzhausen Wuerrtemberg in what is now Germany, d. 1749 in PA) md. Eva Barbara SCHWEINHARDT, dau. of George Michael SCHWEINHARDT and wf. Elizabeth Barbara ?, who came on the same ship as Hans Michael. I have his line back to 1592 in what is now Germany. He arrived in Philadelphia, PA on the ship "Pennsylvania" on 11 Sep 1732 and settled in the part of PA that is now Montgomery Co.. They had four children, among them was: JOHAN STEPHEN KRUMRINE (1737-1812) md. Maria Catharina ROTH (1738-ca. 1816). They had 7 children, among them was: ADAM KRUMRINE (1772-1845) md. Christina KLEINHANS (1779-1857), d.o. Frederick & Elizabeth KLEINHANS. Adam and Christina moved to Centre Co., PA and had six children, among them was: HENRY KRUMRINE (b. ca. 1818, d. 19 May 1889) md. 1) Susannah ? and 2) Katie ? . All his children were by his first wife. He was a grain merchant, school director and Assistant Superintendent of the Spring Mills Union Christian School (have "where it was" in my records, but cannot recall it right now). He and his first wife had 11 children, among them was: CHRISTINA KRUMRINE/CRUMRINE, b. ca. 1847-1848 in Centre Co., PA md. Benjamin Franiklin Phillips. You know the rest. All of the above (and much more) is in my records which have been filmed by the Family History Library (Mormon) in Utah. There are six fat films of my records. You can contact me at my personal E-Mail address for information about them and which films have the information on your families. These films have lots of biographical information and letters from persons I contacted on the various families over a period of 25 years as well as my research into census, land, probate, etc. records in the places where the families lived. Good luck in your search! Dolores

Anna Maria, wf. of Michael BORN baptized the first child of Georg and Barbara KRUMREIN in New Jersey. Her name was Barbara and she was "Born in Emergency" and baptized the same day as she was born....5 Sep 1751. Barbara was a sickly child and the New Jersey records state that she died eight days later. The same Michael and Anna Maria BORN and their children first appear in the records of the Zion Lutheran Church in Manchester, MD in 1760....six years before Georg Lenhar(d)t Krumrein purchased his land near there in what was Baltimore Co. at the time and is now Carroll Co., MD. Michael and Anna Maria BORN were sponsors at a number of KRADINGER/GRADINGER baptisms in that church in MD. Could there have been some relationship between Michael or Anna Maria to our Georg L. KRUMREIN or his wife Barbara? There appear to be no records of our Georg in this Zion Luth. Ch..

She was the dau. of Samuel Grable CRUMRINE and his 2nd wife Dora Ann ANTHONY (or WHITTLE?). Samuel Grable CRUMRINE was the son of George Garber CRUMRINE and his wife Lydia A. GRABLE of Washington Co., PA. George Garber CRUMRINE was the son of George CRUMRINE and his wife Nancy GARBER. George CRUMRINE was the son of George CRUMRINE and his wife Elizabeth GARRETT. George CRUMRINE was the son of Abraham KRUMRINE and his wife Judith BERGER of Balt./now Carroll Co., MD. George changed the spelling of his name to CRUMRINE when he moved to Wash. Co., PA shortly after 1800. Abraham KRUMRINE was the son of the immigrant Georg Lenhart KRUMREIN and his wife Barbara (who was the widow of Johan Andreas RIDMANN when she md. Georg in Penns Neck, Salem Co., NJ in 1751. My extensive CRUMRINE research (and that shared with me by many others) was filmed by the Family History Library (Mormon) in Utah in the 1980's and are on Film Nos. 1597596 through 1597601. These KRUMREIN/CRUMRINE family records go back to 1592 in Jungholzhausen, Wuerrtemburg in what is now Germany. Your particular line of this family can be found on Film No. 1597597 which has biographical information on each of the families, but there is additional research on Film #1597601 on the MD and PA records. There is more information on the German ancestry of G. L. KRUMREIN in my records which was obtained in the early part of the 1900's by the first family researcher in this family. In addition, I have written two articles on this family that have been published in THE PENNSYLVANIA GENEALOGICAL MAGAZINE (1990 and 2000) on this family and another article on the old quarried stone house in Carroll Co., MD built on the land of old Georg, the immigrant in the late 1790's. I also wrote an article on the ancestry of Elizabeth GARRETT who md. one of the above George CRUMRINEs. E-Mail me personally for more information on this. Warmly, Dolores

Your Stephen and his ancestors and information who they married are on the following numbers: 1597596: Index to names of KRUMRINE/CRUMRINE and their spouses 1597597: KRUMREIN Family in Germany - church records taking the line back to 1592 in what is now Germany 1597598-1597599: Georg Lenhart KRUMREIN's descendants 1597600: Last of Georg Lenhart KRUMREIN's descendants and beginning of Hans Michael KRUMREIN's descendants (including your Stephen) 1597601: Rest of Hans Michael KRUMREIN's descendants; other KRUMREIN immigrants to 1900; KRUMREIN research by States; KRUMREIN church records in this country. In addition to the above, Dr. Frank Kocher of State College, PA (prob. now retired as a professor at Penn State) wrote a small book on your Hans Michael KRUMREIN that you might find in a library somewhere.
