Mr. Crump was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Baldwyn, Mississippi, a son of William and Lena Pannell Crump. He had been employed as a baker with Wonder and Tip Top Bakeries. He was an assembler for 16 years with Bliss Manufacturing, retiring in 1993. He was a faithful member of the New Beginnings Outreach Ministries and an ordained deacon. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching basketball, football and wrestling. He also enjoyed singing and was the lead singer for the former gospel group "The Crump Brothers" and had recorded several albums, they had performed with other recording artist such as Mattie Moss Clark and the Clark Sisters. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, the former Manola Barnes, whom he married in 1949; five children, Wayne Crump of Youngstown, Ohio, Michael (Kathleen) Crump of Liberty Township, Ohio, Kenneth (Sherri) Crump, Assoc. Pastor Beverly Crump and Pastor Christopher Crump all of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Milton Crump, Howard Young and James Crump all of Youngstown, Ohio; three sisters, Myrtle (Theodore) Metts of Liberty Township, Ann Bost and Ella M. Crump both of Youngstown; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Benny L. Crump; and two brothers, John Henry Crump and Robert Crump. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the L. E.
