I am researching Lucy D. Crump, born 1800 in Hanover Co. VA, married to John Hogarty in 1822 in Henrico Co., VA, and died in 1882 in Scott Co., Iowa. I have no knowledge of her parents and am wondering if anyone knows anything about Crumps in Hanover County (I know there is a Crump's Creek there!). The information about her birth comes from her Iowa cemetery record. The marriage info comes from Virginia marriage records. Her children are John Crump Hogarty, James D. Hogarty, Joseph Hogarty, Samuel Hogarty, Francis T. Hogarty, Martin Van Buren Hogarty, Ann Maria Hogarty, and Richard Mentor Hogarty (all children born in Ohio, according to the census- except for John- although the IGI says Virginia). After reading Constance's posting about the Missouri family of Richard Crump, born 1772, I am wondering if there might be a connection there. Does anyone know what happened to his daughter, Lucinda? -- Melinda Anderson ************************************************************* http://home.earthlink.net/~melindaroo/twigs.html Climbing these branches of my Family Tree: ANNAND, BADENOCH, BEAMER, BEAN, BRADLEY, COWAN, CRABS, CRAWFORD, CRUMP, DOOLIN, EMBURY, FUNK,GERRISH, HABBERCORN, HANCOCK, HARPER, HARRINGTON, HILL, HILLIKER, HOGARTY, KISER, MCLAUGHLIN, MOWATT , NUNNERY, PEASLEE, SCRIBNER, SHURTLEFF, SMALL, SPAFFORD, TOUGH, WOLFE *************************************************************
