    3. Hi Alandra, Unfortunately there were no parents listed on my Thomas Crump's death certificate. From what I can gather he bought land around Melbourne, Victoria and developed it. He was brickmaker, he would buy vacant newly released land from bigland owners that was going to become town lots, make the bricks on site, build the house and then sell it consequently he moved around a lot. He did however manage to have 6 children with his second wife Selina Wheeler while all this was going on. Interestingly enough she was from Goucestershire like your Crumps, however from Stroud. Perhaps there was a connection between the Crumps and Wheelers back in Gloucestershire. One can only speculate... 3. Hi Sandra, thanks for the feedback. Who knows, as you wrote, maybe there is a connection somewhere down the line : ) One of my DANIEL(L)S ancestors (my maiden name) supposedly went to Australia also, but that's another mystery. A boy and girl twin were abandoned at the Sidford Church, Devon, England, -- my dad and his dad searched the parish registers, but the only boy/girl twins noted there, were by the surname DARE, so my Dad always wondered if our name had originally been DARE. Just before my dad died, I found the DARE connection! My great great grandmother was a Sarah DARE, - she was the one who married Henry Hook DANIEL(L)S, the one who "vanished" - have never found a death or burial for him. He was in Somerset and Devon in 1854 when his son was born, his name is noted on the Chillington, Somerset, Parish Baptism Register for his son (my great grandfather) - but by the 1860 Census he wasn't listed. So he's the one that we believe went to Australia. I did tell my Dad about finding Sarah DARE, but not sure if he was able to understand at that stage of his illness. There have been several sets of boy/girl twins in our DANIELLS ancestors, including my own brother and sister : ) My Mary nee CRUMP/ENGLAND (great great grandmother) had a set of boy/girl twins, - the boy died at a young age, along with 2 other siblings in that same month in GLS. (must've been a disease circulating at the time). Strange how the girl of the twin survived tho, isn't it, as well as other children who survived. How sad/tragic to lose 3 children within a few days of each other! Then Mary's daughter, my great grandmother, Clara nee ENGLAND/DANIELLS had a boy/girl twin, but the girl died aged approx 1 year old. The boy of the twin was my paternal grandfather. I don't know how the little girl died, but she was buried in Gloucestershire, altho they lived at Devon. So many mysteries. Sure would love to solve some of them : ) best wishes, Alandra ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandra Williamson" <smwilliamson@optushome.com.au> To: <crump@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 19, 2007 1:22 AM Subject: Re: [CRUMP] Sandra re Thomas CRUMP Emily CRUMP in AUSTRALIA > Hi Alandra, > > Unfortunately there were no parents listed on my Thomas Crump's death > certificate.
