Doesn't mean that there wasn't one as my Wm. Heldley connection a little later suggests. I am directly descended from James, son of John Bushrod Crump. One of the early problem with this line is that almost every John had a son James, and almost every James had a son John. Took me years to get all of this straight. But the daughters are a little different. During this period they didn't show up in the census information, but from everything I have researched/seen over these last fifteen years or so, I just can't find an Elizabeth that fits. I hav not researched the Hendley's at all so I cannot comment too much on that. Let me know if you find anything that suggests a close relationship.
