    1. Re: [CRUMP] Crump Research
    2. Hello, Vearle. Thanks for the response to my original message. Yes, John Dorman, with the help of some other researchers, has re-written his original genealogy. It appears that there were two William Crumps in early Virginia, and neither has been proven to be a son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Buck) Crump. One of these Williams left James City County, Va, and went to Lancaster county, Va., and then to Talbot Co, Md, where he died ca 1695. One of his sons, Robert Crump is said to have married twice, and produced a son, Robert, who went to Pittsylvania Co, Va, and resulted in the line that lived in Stokes Co, NC, then went to Franklin and Elbert counties, Ga circa 1805. This is said to be my line. The other William is said to have married Ann Vaulx, and remained in New Kent County, Va. I hope this is helpfull.
