    2. JD Crump
    3. Hi, Vearl. My brick wall has been my gg grandfather, Richard Crump. He was born in Virginia about August 1801 and married Nancy McCarty in Bath County Kentucky in 1823. Bath County was part of Montgomery County until 1811. Because of the proximity of the places and the dates in your info, I'm hoping you may have some clue that can jumpstart my search again. Richard and Nancy had a large family and lived in neighboring Nicholas County until his death shortly before the 1880 census. Would he fit anywhere in your tree? Thanks for any help! jd crump ----- Original Message ---- From: "crump-request@rootsweb.com" <crump-request@rootsweb.com> To: crump@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, June 6, 2007 2:03:06 AM Subject: CRUMP Digest, Vol 2, Issue 34 Today's Topics: 1. Thank you for the comments re John and ancestors. I am convinced that this is the same John, who married Elizabeth Byrd, as well as Malinda. Too bad they did not require full names back then. I have a great grandfather who had the full name of "Robert John Cason William Crump" !! As for Nancy, who married Francis Tincher, let me say that "Nancy" was a nickname for Ann, and Mary Ann is a common name for this line of Crumps. Another comment. Did you notice a "Verlinda Harding" in the the comments for William F. Crump ? It makes me think that your name. Vearl, might be a derivitive of that name. Any Hardings in your line ?
