Hi- I am also wondering (like Ed Crump Jr.) how many are on this list! My Crump ancestor is Lucy Crump who married John M. Hogarty (b. in Ireland) in Henrico Co. VA in 1822. Their children were James, Martin Van Buren, John Crump, Francis T., Edward, Joseph, Samuel, Ann Marie, and Richard Mentor Hogarty (my ancestor). Richard M. Hogarty was born in Ohio in 1843 , so I am assuming that the Hogarty/Crump family moved to Ohio sometime after their marriage in 1822. Lucy died in Ada, Kansas in 1885. I am looking for Lucy Crump's parents. I assume she would have been born around 1800- give or take a few years. Does anyone know who her parents were? Also- does anyone know of any Native American ancestry in the Crumps? There is a story of Indian ancestry somewhere in the Hogarty family- so far I keep finding just Scotch-Irish.
