My GGRandmother was Martha Jane Crump (born 1830) who married Willis Pinkney Lindsey (born 1826 in Spartanburg, SC) in Boone County in 1847. Both were members of the Goshen Primitive Baptist Church but left for Saline County, Missouri, in 1861, as Civil War hostilities broke out. I understand from David Sapp's book, Wilton:A River Town, that the parents of Martha Jane Crump were Patrick and Sarah Crump, but it seems that the move to Saline County may have split the family ties... like sooo many others. It seems that Martha Jane Crump/Lindsey died in 1866 in Arrow Rock, Missouri, as reported by a contemporary obituary in the California, Missouri newspaper. Can anyone tell me more about the Crumps?
