Here is what he said, "Thomas and Elizabeth (Buck) Crump are presumed to have had sons John (c 22C 22201) and William (C22 C22)". The book does not claim that there is any proof that Thomas was the father of William Crump. It just assumes that it is so. John apparently had a daughter Elizabeth, but she died without known heirs and there were no other children. William Crump did not have any association that we know of with Thomas Crump or John Crump. Without some evidence of a connection between Thomas Crump and William Crump of York, the origin of Elizabeth Buck may not help much.
