Author: dust878 Surnames: Harris, Crump Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.crump/655/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Mrs. Lessie Anna Harris Crump, 85, of Morganton, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Asheville after a six year period of declining health. Mrs. Crump was born on April 12, 1922 in Burke County to the late William Lonzo Harris and Delilah Melinda Powell Harris. Lessie was a homemaker and a faithful member of Community Baptist Church in Morganton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters; Annie Mae Davis, Katie Moody and Mary Fox, brother, Rev. Robert L. Harris and half sister Julie Harris. Survivors include her husband Frank Crump, of the home, two sons; Howard Crump and wife Joyce , Jack Crump and wife Sylvia, both of Morganton; one brother, W.A. Buddy Harris, of Morganton and one half brother, Henry Harris also of Morganton. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grand children. Funeral Services for Mrs. Crump will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel o! f Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Rev. Billy Bollinger and Rev. Tony Land officiating. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park, Morganton. The family will receive on Friday from 2 till 3:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service, at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
