She was born Nov. 27, 1933, to the late Maurice Hudson and Lena Smith Hudson of Catawba County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Henry Crump, who passed away June 10, 2007. Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Atkinson and husband, Guy, of New London; two sons, Scott Crump of Concord and Danny Crump and wife, Janie, of Monroe; grandchildren, Stacey Graham, Kevin Wright, Amy Storch, Jessica Lowe, Emily Crump and Daniel Crump; and seven great-grandchildren. In her early life, Mrs. Crump was employed by Armour Foods. She later did flower arranging. She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to grow and cultivate flowers. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel in! Kannapolis, with the Rev. James Pauley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Whitely's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
