Sherry, Otis is not a common name like Wiliam, John, etc. like we usually see in this line. I have an Otis Crump whose father, Benjamin Franklin Crump, was born in Mississippi in 1847. Benjamin was the son of a William Crump b abt 1807 n NC, son of John Bushrod Crump, Jr. IF (big IF) this is the same Otis, then I can take his ancestory back to the late 1600's in Ireland, and, originally England! The only thing is, I show my Otis being born in 1900. His siblings were born between 1880 and 1906, so it is not impossible. I have no further info on Otis that what I say here, so do you know anything more? Benjamin Franklin Crump married in Catahoula Parish LA about 1870, and died in Jones County Texas sometime after 1900 (based solely on the presumed birthdate of Otis). Interesting that Otis had a brother Oscar. His parents liked the "O's" <G> I have more if this is a fit. I'd bet there is some relationship, however. Thanks for the message.
