I haven't feltt like I had much to contribute because I have been unable to find much on my Crumps but a wonderful lady in Arkansas did a look up for me so I wanted to share the obituaries of my Grandparents with you in the hopes that I maybe able to help someone else and that if anyone can give me any information on my family they will contact me. Cleveland County Herald/ March 29, 1950 O. O. CRUMP OF KINGSLAND DIES Otis Oliver Crump, aged 65, fireman at the Anthony-Williams sawmill in Kingsland, died early Monday morning at is home there. Mr. Crup had resided in Kingsland for the past 12 years after removing there from Glenwood. He was a native of Mississippi. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss MildredStearns ( should have been spelled Sterns) ; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Feizer of Texarkana, Mrs. Ola Humble of Warren, Mrs. Dorothy Sipes of Belton, Tex., and Miss Reba Crump of Kingsland; seven grandchildren, and four sisters. Funeral services for Mr. Crump were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Kingsland Baptist church by the Rev. Fred Mead and the ev. W.B. Robinson. Burial was in the Kingsland cemetery. Rufus T. Buie Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arragements. Cleveland County Herald/June 6, 1956 MRS. MILDRED CRUMP IS CLAIMED BY DEATH Mrs. Mildred Stearns (Sterns) Crump, aged 62, widow of the late O. O. Crump and a former residet of Kingsland, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Reba Nichols, in Monticello Sunday morning. Mrs. Crup, who madeher home in Kingsland for a numberof years was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving, besides her daughter, are two sons ( should be 3) Auspin ( my dad which should be spelled Chrispin) of California, and H.L. Crump of Little Rock; Two step sons Otis Crump of Waynesborogh Va. and C.M. Crump of Fordyce ( was a son not a step-son). ; two step daughters; Mattie Fetzer of Txarkaa and Ola Humble of Waren; her step-mother, Mrs. Lela Stearns (Sterns) of Whitebourough, and a step-sister , Mrs. Margaret Garner of Whiteborough. Funeral services are to be held at the Kingsland Methodist church at 2:30 Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Wilmer Barron. Pallbearers,selected are. Geore Griffin, Horace Crain, Raymond Cearley, Leo Elam. and Billy Rhodes. Buie Funeral Home is i charge of arrangements. I put in corrections in brackets that I know are correct as there were several mistakes. Until I recieved these I did nt know my grandmother had a step-mother or step-sister. I do not know who her mother or father were. I did not know that my grandfather had 4 sisters and may have had brothers and more sisters. I do not know who his parents were either. Otis Olive Crump was born in 1884 according to his tombstone. Mildred S. Crump was born in 1898 according to hers. I will be very happy to pass on an information I find and would lve to hear from anyone knowing anything at all about this family. Thanks to a wonderul lady in Arkansas that voluteers to do lookups I now have the information I need to order their death certificate and I thank her with my whole heart.
