Crump, 75, of Lenoir, died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born October 13, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late James A. and Ruby Bradshaw Crump. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James F. Crump. Mr. Crump was owner operator of an auto repair shop. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janet Arney Crump of the home and three brothers, Bruce W. Crump of Conover, J. Neal Crump of Hickory and Allan B. Crump of Lenoir. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 4 p.m. at Whitnel United Methodist Church conducted by Dr. C. Wade Dellinger and Rev. Jim Lee. Interment will follow at Collier's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Hibriten Masonic Lodge # 262 A.F. and A.M.
